If you have a car with hybrid drive, the previous rule applies to you even more. Hybrid vehicles have the ability to convert braking energy into electrical energy that will later be used for movement, and it's saving fuel.
But that does not mean that if you brake suddenly to charge the batteries faster. On the contrary, hybrid works by braking force if small, in fact, apply the brakes instead of electric brakes (which then acts as a generator), which inhibits their resistance turning vehicle. This means that the electric braking force is limited and that if you brake suddenly dropped the brakes and losing all the benefits of hybrid drives.
